In the previous lesson, we learn that \u6709 (y\u01d2u)<\/a> can be used to express the existence of someone or something in a particular place. You can also use \u8457 [\u7740] (zhe) to express it. So, what is the difference between them?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u8457<\/strong> [<\/strong>\u7740<\/strong>] (zhe) is for \u2018stative\u2019 verbs<\/strong><\/h6>\n

In terms of expressing existence, \u8457 [\u7740] (zhe) is generally paired with stative verbs rather than dynamic verbs. The examples of the static condition verbs including placed, lived, hanged, parked, and so on.<\/p>\n

NEGATIVE SENTENCE<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Just like \u6709 (y\u01d2u)<\/a>, we use \u6c92 [\u6ca1] (m\u00e9i) \u2013 instead of \u4e0d (b\u00f9)<\/a> \u2013 as the negative determiners to express \u2018there is no\u2019 or \u2018there are no\u2019.<\/p>\n
