Are they regular or irregular?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>There are adjective degrees that come in irregular form. We use adjective degrees to describe the different degrees of comparison: positive adjectives, <a href=\"http:\/\/lingo-apps.com\/comparative-superlative-english\/\">comparative adjectives, and superlative adjectives.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Positive adjectives: tall, young, beautiful.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Comparative adjectives: taller, younger, more beautiful.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Superlative adjectives: the tallest, the youngest, the most beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Mary is young.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Mary is younger than James.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Mary is the youngest in the family.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>How to emphasize the meaning of an adjective?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We use the adverbs \u2018<em>very\u2019<\/em> or \u2018<em>really\u2019<\/em> before the adjective to emphasize an adjective.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">James is <em>very<\/em> tall.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Chinese is a <em>really<\/em> important language.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s learn English today!
