In English, the and<\/em> conjunction can be used to link parallel words, phrases, and clauses. On the other hand, there are various ways to say and<\/em> in Chinese depending on the context.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0\u548c<\/strong> (h\u00e9) \u2013 the nouns linker<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Probably the most common way to say and<\/em> is by using \u548c (h\u00e9). However, please note that \u548c (h\u00e9) is only used for linking nouns.<\/p>\n

Structure: Noun 1 + \u548c + Noun 2<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In the middle way of your Chinese learning, you might find \u548c (h\u00e9) as the adjectives- or verbs-linker. They are not wrong, but there are some requirements that you need to meet in order to be applicable in the sentences.<\/p>\n

\u8ddf (g\u0113n), which is literally translated as with<\/em>, works as the nouns linker \u2013 just like \u548c (h\u00e9).<\/p>\n

\u53c8 (y\u00f2u) is the adjectives linker of and. In this case, both of the adjectives must be equal \u2013 both are bad or both are good.<\/p>\n

Structure: Subject + \u53c8 + Adjective 1 + \u53c8 + Adjective 2<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
