Noun Repetition<\/h4>\n<p>The symbol \u3005, which is known as the \u540c\u306e\u5b57\u70b9 (d\u014d no jiten) in Japanese, is the punctuation mark that represents the duplicated of kanji character. Examples:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u5c71 \u2192 \u5c71\u3005<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">yama \u2192 yamayama<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">mountain \u2192 mountains<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u4eba \u2192 \u4eba\u3005<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">hito \u2192 hitobito<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">person \u2192 people<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>3. Using Japanese counters<\/h4>\n<p>By using Japanese counters, we can clearly determine the number of objects \u2013 singular or plural. For better understand, you can translate this particle as preposition \u2018of\u2019 (the closest but not the best translation).
