Similarly, the Japanese also do the same modification as well.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>&#8211;<\/strong><strong>\u3044<\/strong><strong> (-i) Adjectives<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For <strong>&#8211;<\/strong><strong>\u3044<\/strong><strong> (-i) adjectives<\/strong>, all you need to do is as simple as substituting the -\u3044 (-i) with -\u304f (-ku).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u65e9\u3044 \u2192 \u65e9\u304f<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">hayai \u2192 hayaku<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">fast (adjective) \u2192 fast (adverb)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u6642\u9593\u304c\u65e9\u304f\u904e\u304e\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Jikan ga hayaku sugiru.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Time passes quickly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>&#8211;<\/strong><strong>\u306a<\/strong><strong> (-na) Adjectives<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For <strong>&#8211;<\/strong><strong>\u306a<\/strong><strong> (-na) adjectives<\/strong>, simply attach -\u306b (-ni) at the end of the adjectives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u9759\u304b \u2192 \u9759\u304b\u306b<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">shizuka \u2192 shizuka ni<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">quiet \u2192 quietly<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u5f7c\u306f<strong>\u9759\u304b\u306b<\/strong>\u6b69\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Kare wa <strong>shizuka ni<\/strong> arukimashita.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">He walked <strong>q<\/strong><strong>uietly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Exceptions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u3044\u3044 \u2192 \u3088\u304f<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u012a \u2192 yoku<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">good \u2192 well<\/p>\n<p>[\u3088\u304f (yoku) can also mean often &#8211; adverb of frequency]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u304b\u3063\u3053\u3044\u3044 \u2192 \u304b\u3063\u3053\u3088\u304f<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">kakko\u012b \u2192 kakkoyoku<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">cool \u2192 coolly<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In fact, not all adverbs are derived from adjectives.
