If you have already learned Japanese alphabet, Hiragana, next to learn is Katakana!
Katakana is mainly used for foreign origin words. Are you scared that you need to learn more letters? Don’t worry. It would be much easier to learn Katakana than Hiragana.
Both in Hiragana and Katakana, each letter represents one sound, and there are exactly same number of sounds. For example, Hiragana “あ", (“a" sound) can be written as “ア" in Katakana. So it’s a good news that you don’t need to learn additional sounds. Isn’t it?
In addition, many Katakana letter is simplified version of Hiragana. Like Hiragana “か" –> Katakana “カ".
Anyway, it would be good to learn by video as you can see the letter, vocabulary, image, and listen to the audio. In this way, you can relate all information and it strengthen your memory.
